Bus wankers rejoice! Inbetweeners film to start shooting

As a rule of thumb, I often avoid anything to do with the British or teenagers. Our very own Xander Markham threatens my entire being with his charming sophistication and teenagers only remind me of my own mortality and impending death. So imagine my surprise when I happened by The Inbetweeners on BBC-America, a sitcom about a group of British teenagers and their misadventures in love and underage drinking. It easily became one of my favorite shows of last year, and it gave me yet another reason to hate Xander.

Word from Empire is not only is there an Inbetweeners film in the works, but that principal photography begins in two days. Thus far all that’s known about the film is that it involves a vacation to Malia and that it’s set to release August 2011 in the UK. Being a resourceful journalist, I looked up Malia on Wikipedia to which I discovered that Malia is a coastal town on the island of Crete. When I didn’t know what Crete is, I delved deeper and found out it’s a part of Greece. Either way, should be a smashing good time (did I do that right, Xander?)
