By The half-time show may have been a big wash last night, but Marvel picked up the slack with two teaser trailers. Alongside a look at Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel got a quick spot. Sporting a bunch of flashy shots, we hear the slogan that Carol Danvers used in the airforce. I can’t be the only one that immediately thought of Daft Punk when I heard it.
I’m still not exactly sure how I feel about the film, but these newer trailers do show a lot more visual polish than the earlier ones. Hopefully, the film ends up being good, because I’ve been growing tired of Marvel’s output in recent years. Everything is so rote and formulaic that I’ve lost the investment I previously had.
Captain Marvel will be hitting theaters on March 8, 2019.
