Cast/character portraits from Darren Aronofsky’s Noah

0

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard about Noah, Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic (by way of Mad Max with 11-foot-tall fallen angels). We previously had a picture of Noah’s ark looking very ark-like, but now we have our first glimpses of the cast members in character, which you can check out in the gallery.

Russell Crowe is Noah, with Ray Winstone as the villain of the film (though not God or water). Anthony Hopkins is in the movie as well as Methuselah. Rounding out the cast are Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, and Logan Lerman. Something about these costumes seems less Old Testament and more Dark Ages or Middle Ages. It’s the kind of stuff that wouldn’t be out of place in a pseudo-medieval fantasy film.

Noah should be out by 2014, and hopefully an English translation of Aronofsky’s graphic novel version of Noah will be out some time next year as well.

What do you think of these character pics?
