Chad Michael Murray, others, to star in ‘Haunting’ sequel

So, One Tree Hill’s Chad Michael Murray is starring in The Haunting in Georgia, the semi-sequel to 2009’s successful horror film, The Haunting in Connecticut. He’s joined by Abigail Spencer (Mad Men), Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff, and relative newcomer Emily Alyn Lind (Enter the Void).

This is great news for Murray, who hasn’t been in a theatrical release since 2006’s Home of the Brave. And as far as eye candy goes, Murray is a great median between Connecticut’s Martin Donovan (Weeds) and Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street), who always, always looks like he’s just had an awful experience at Uncle Lester’s house.

Murray and Spencer play a couple whose young daughter (Lind) begins to exhibit the same horrifying visions her mother and aunt (Sackhoff) are cursed with. Helmed by The Haunting in Connecticut editor and first-time director Tom Elkins with a script by David Coggeshall, whose writing credits are primarily in the telenovela genre, it remains to be seen if Georgia’s cast and crew will have the collective chops to pull off another #1.

Shooting begins this month in Baton Rouge for a 2011 release. And for your viewing pleasure, more Chad Michael Murray below!{{page_break}}
