If you’re into house music, EDEN might just be the movie for you. Directed by Mia Hansen-Løve, EDEN centers around Paul, a teen in the Paris music scene in the early-90s – a culture dominated by raves. As he strives to achieve his dream of becoming a professional DJ and begins a collective called Cheers, he and his friends find themselves entrenched in a nightlife of sex, drugs and music. The film is inspired by the experiences of Hansen-Løve’s brother Sven, who co-wrote the film. EDEN also features a subplot in which Paul’s friends form a DJ collective called Daft Punk, which is definitely a fictional group that would never find mainstream success in the real world.

Check out the trailer below and see if EDEN looks to whet your whistle. The movie opens in New York and LA on June 19, followed by Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, DC on June 26. Other markets will follow through the summer.
