By This manufactured newspaper page “from” The Blithe Hollow Bugle is actually a poster of sorts for the approaching new movie from the makers of Coraline, titled ParaNorman. This is kinda an odd bit of advertising for a movie – but it’s actually really cool! The fonts and the way the typeset is designed throughout the pages gives off such a small town feel, like a place full of busy-bodies who have good intentions. Or, as is more likely the case – a place full of witches, zombies and ghosts.
If you read the text in the pages, they cleverly give you some background information about the setting and characters in ParaNorman without spoiling virtually any of the plot! Which is an admirable feat in this day of three minute long expository trailers, if you ask me.
