Chris Evans to star as an iconic character in Little Shop of Horrors remake

From fighting intergalactic, world-destroying aliens to fighting cavities, Chris Evans is set to take on the role made famous by Steve Irwin in the original film version of Little Shop of Horrors. According to The Hollywood Reporter Evans is indeed up to portray Orin Scrivello “The Dentist.” Now, he is no stranger to playing bad guys as before he ever became Captain America he played one of the 7 Evil Exes in Scott Pilgrim vs the World and a villain in Knives Out.

I think this casting choice is pretty fitting since Evans has proved he can play a bad guy when he wants to and also it will be interesting to hear him sing. Other stars reportedly being eyed to complete the cast include Taron Egerton as Seymour and Scarlett Johanson as Audrey. Egerton is still in talks, however, the voice of the man-eater plant will be played by Billy Porter. Fans of the 80s cult classic will enjoy this blast from the past. I am excited to see if they will go back to the 80s time frame or make it more modern. 2020 is setting itself up to bring a whole new decade of remakes, whether or not that is a good thing remains to be seen. The box office numbers will surely speak for themselves.
