Chuck Palahniuk’s Invisible Monsters getting adapted

I’m not a big fan of Chuck Palahniuk’s writing. I’ve tried to get into it, but it doesn’t resonate with me. I also don’t like Degrassi: The Next Generation. It is this combined dislike that has me writing this for you now. Chuck Palaniuk’s 1999 novel Invisible Monsters has a director! Samir Rehem is the go-to guy. Rehem is best known for his work on Skins and Degrassi: The Next Generation. With those shows under his belt, this can only be an absolute failure (probably).

As of now, only two of Palahniuk’s eleven released fiction works (I read Wikipedia!) have been finished, and there was an nine year gap between them (the amazing Fight Club in 1999 and the didn’t-see-it-because-I-didn’t-like-the-book-and-didn’t-like-the-trailers Choke in 2008). This film has been in the works for the last ten years… so it may or may not actually see the light of day in the end. There are apparently financing and other issues even now, so you can file this away in your mind until there’s some real confirmation that this will be coming out. Or file it away forever, because it will probably suck.
