Danger Girl movie rights scooped up

I’d like to tell you that I got into the Danger Girl comics when they first came out because I was into their tongue-in-cheek take on the James Bond spy film genre. But I was a teenage boy in the 90s so I think we all know why I picked up that first issue. That being said, I found a fun comic in those pages, and now they may come to life as Constantin Film acquired rights to the the comic to make it into a movie.

The studio says they’re working on a movie and TV show, and I’m thinking at the moment we’ll probably get something pretty low budget and a syndicated show. That doesn’t mean it will be bad, but despite the “girl power” quotes from the producers I can’t see this being more than a sex sells kind of thing. Maybe it will be more clever than that or adapt the comic to be a bit less full of women in very skimpy outfits, but I’m guessing not.
