By Despicable Me first released with respectable numbers, and now with Despicable Me 2 on the way, Universal Studios is trying to milk the most out of their franchise. According to Deadline, the Minions — the little yellow big eyed buggers — are getting a film dedicated entirely to their “antics”. Its production is going to be coordinated with Despicable Me 2 to make sure the two films release in good increments.
The Minions don’t even speak English, so I have a hard time imagining how they can carry a film beyond slapstick comedy. Think they’re cute now but just slightly annoying? Imagine being stuck in a room with them for ninety minutes.
Yeah. Let that sink in.
