DiCaprio set to be the Devil in the White City

Leonardo DiCaprio is probably one of the top five actors in his generation. He’s one of those people that’s managed to transcend his earliest pigeon-holing as a “pretty boy” and has stepped up with some pretty seriously amazing performances. His next will be no different. Leo’s just been cast as Dr. H.H. Holmes in an adaptation of The Devil in the White City. The book, written by Erik Larson, is the story of the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893 and the serial killer, the aforementioned Dr. Holmes, that killed something between twenty-seven and 200 people.

Deadline makes sure to point out the most tantalizing part of the film, at least for me: Holmes’ World’s Fair Hotel, a hotel he built specifically to lure young women to their deaths, describing it as a “murder castle.”

There’s a joke about a bunch of young women being lured into Leo’s murder castle, but it’s just not coming to me.
