Director Tom Six wants Human Centipede 3 to go deeper

I have not seen The Human Centipede, nor have I seen its (apparently atrocious) sequel. I may eventually get around to seeing them, but it’s hardly a priority. I do know that director Tom Six went meta with Human Centipede 2, though, basing it around a character who was obsessed with the first film, and I also know that Human Centipede 3 is going to be even moreso.

Ilona Six, Tom Six’s sister and producer of the Centipede films, has let it be known that the final part of the trilogy will feature appearances by Dieter Laser, the antagonist of the first film; Laurence R. Harvey, antagonist of the second film, and Tom Six himself. I’m not even going to think about what kind of timeline needs to exist (or retconning needs to happen) in order for that to make sense, because I’m sure no one involved in the production thought about it either.

Tom Six has set out to make the most horrendous thing to ever be put on celluloid (unless it’s shot on digital, in which case whatever). He has said the final part of the trilogy is supposed to make HC2 “look like a Disney film.” With a tagline like “100% politically incorrect,” it’s pretty clear that nothing of real value will be coming out of this particular production (I think it should be noted Uwe Boll was going for essentially the same thing with his atrocious adaptation of Postal).

Even so, it’s certainly an interesting idea. I’ll probably never see it, so I don’t expect I’ll ever know whether or not Six and co. pull off the whole meta-meta thing, but there’s no harm in trying, right?

Or maybe there is. I don’t know. I guess we’ll find out sometime next year.
