I might as well title this article “Disney endorses drug use” since I’m sure some idiot online will inevitably do so and milk it for all it’s worth. Let’s back up a bit. Last week as Flixist was oiling its wheels and revving up for launch, news broke that Keith Richards used drugs heavily in the past and that his guidance on the subject might get him removed from the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides film.

Ignoring that his swagger from decades of drug addled decisions is what got him his eccentric role in the first place, and that filming began almost half a year ago with millions already invested on his mangy mug, and the fact that this was just a rumor buzzing around the Disney offices that are filled with sleepy dwarves dodging unemployment, and you suddenly have a confirmation that Keith Richards was removed from the new Pirates film. If all of the above isn't evidence that people don't read too many books these days, I don't know what is. Actually, yes I do: actual facts.

This is the kind of shoddy journalism that Flixist will shy away from. Sure, we'll reach out to readers with attention grabbing headlines and silly Photoshop images such as the drug dog picture you see above, but we won't mislead people for hits.
