Disney planning Cars 3, The Incredibles 2

Although I’m normally not a fan of sequels, I am a fan of Disney/Pixar sequels. You can argue back and forth over whether or not some of their films deserve sequels, but I’m glad they’re coming. I’m one of the few people who loves the idea of Finding Dory, wants Toy Story 4 to happen, but all the while whined about not getting more of The Incredibles (It is one of the few 100s here on Flixist, after all). Not anymore.

During the Disney shareholders meeting earlier today, Bob Iger announced Disney’s plans for a third Cars film, and more importantly, a sequel to The Incredibles (written by Brad Bird, no less!). Both of these decisions make stupid amount of sense. Cars is a toy dynamo (with its Planes spin-off making money of its own), but Incredibles is definitely a surprise.

But now that Disney is prepping a 3D re-release of Ratatouiile and The Incredibles, and The Incredibles figures are selling like hotcakes in that Disney Infinity game, it seems like the right time for an incredible revival.
