Following the paths previously blazed by Cuban baseball players and Elian Gonzalez, Juan of the Dead will finally find its way to US shores. Thanks to Focus Features, Cuba’s first zombie film will find US distribution, allowing those unable to attend film festivals to finally catch this fantastically funny film.
Focus World, Focus Features’ distribution arm, will bring the film to various avenues, including video-on-demand, Xbox Live Marketplace, Playstation Store, iTunes, and every other major digital market. Furthermore, the politically-driven zombie comedy will have a theatrical release in April thanks to another, unnamed distributer.
