DOC NYC film festival starts next week

0

Even though Hurricane/Noreaster Sandy has done a real number on New York, the third annual DOC NYC film festival is still scheduled to start next week, running from November 8th to November 15th.

DOC NYC is the premiere documentary film festival in New York City, with more than 70 films screening at the IFC Center and the School of Visual Arts Theater. There are also a number of events and panels taking place at both venues. Some of the special guests appearing at DOC NYC include Ken Burns, Henry Rollins, Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright, Mo Rocca, and Jared Leto.

It seems like Flixist’s film festival coverage has been continuous for the last couple weeks. We brought you some great coverage of the New York Film Festival (NYFF), the Chicago International Film Festival (CIFF), and the South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFF), the last days of which are still being rescheduled due to the storm earlier this week.

Keep an eye out for our first DOC NYC review soon. For tickets and more information about the festival, visit docnyc.net.
