Doctor Strange officially joins Thor and Hulk for Thor: Ragnarok

We’re learning more about Thor: Ragnarok in trickles and dribbles and other words that may be associated with bladder control issues later in life. Directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople), the latest Thor film will feature a little bit of the Planet Hulk comics storyline, and will include Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster and Cate Blanchett as Hela.

If you saw Doctor Strange, a post-credit sequence teased an alliance between Strange and Thor. The official Disney fanclub newsletter confirmed Benedict Cumberbatch will appear in the film alongside Thor and the Hulk. The newsletter read:

If you need even more intergalactic, world-saving action, Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.

The Marvel Illuminati storyline is unlikely (rights issues prevent certain characters being involved). I’m hoping that Beta Ray Bill will be in this movie. Beta Ray Bill is the cult favorite character from Walt Simonson’s iconic run on The Mighty Thor–a heroic alien cyborg with an equine face and a sentient spaceship named Scuttlebutt.

Given, I always hope Beta Ray Bill appears in all movies, even non-Thor and non-Marvel movies.

For instance, I was really moved by Kenneth Lonergan’s Manchester by the Sea, but you know what would have made it better?

Beta Ray Bill.

Thor: Ragnarok comes out November 3, 2017.
