By Little Miss ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower‘/Hermione Granger is apparently in talks to star in Disney’s new live-action Cinderella thing. Mr. 100% Shakespeare Kenneth Branagh (Thor) is also attached to direct. This might get almost too British even for me. The film currently has no release date or any other concrete details other than Cate Blanchett being cast as the wicked step-mother. One could hazard a guess of this thing materializing in the next two years at least.
Disney at the moment seem to be doing home run after home run with my heart. If this were ten years ago then I would be bursting into tears or doing something else melodramatic, but with Emmadoodles and Handsome Branagh in charge then this has to do the original Princess at least some justice.
