Final trailer for Assassin’s Creed has new footage, Jeremy Irons, and Charlotte Rampling

As we’re getting close to the release of Assassin’s Creed, one last trailer is dropping for the hype. A VR experience alone will not put your butt in a theater seat. The overall tone of this final trailer is different than the first trailer and the second trailer. Instead of Kanye West and Austin Jenckes, you get a traditionally epic film score. You also get plotty stuff with Jeremy Irons and Charlotte Rampling.

Gravitias, people. Gravitas.

Assassin’s Creed | Official HD Trailer #3 | 2017

This looks and feels like an action movie version of Justin Kurzel’s Macbeth.

The January 1st release date is for the UK, in case you were wondering. And if this is a UK-centric trailer, the inclusion of British acting institutions like Irons and Rampling makes a lot of sense. In the United States, Assassin’s Creed is still scheduled for a December 21st release.

What do you think of this last trailer? Are you excited for the film? Let us know in the comments.
