Final trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story mentions the odds and raises the stakes

I know, I know–we already said there was a final trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Now we have two final trailers. You can blame Disney and Lucasfilm for wanting to hype the movie one last time now that the public can buy their advanced movie tickets.

Go buy tix already, duders.

Check out the second final trailer for Rogue One below.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story "Trust"

Lots of new footage in that second-final trailer, including some droid stuff with K-2SO (voiced by Alan Tudyk), Donnie Yen totally being Donnie Yen against some jabroni stormtroopers, and Jiang Wen bringing the heavy artillery. There’s also more of Felicity Jones steering the mission and Diego Luna roguishly quipping along.

War movies about specialized teams/forces are all about the group dynamic, and I’m curious how this band of misfits on a suicide mission will play together. Also curious how this will differentiate itself from other movies in the series. While Rogue One bridges the prequels and the original trilogy, Rogue One will not have a traditional opening text crawl like the other Star Wars films. Expect other Star Wars Anthology pictures to similarly lack an opening text crawl.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be in theaters on December 16th. May the Force be with you, and be careful about seagulls. Are you excited? Let us know in the comments.
