First image and creepy EW cover for Fincher’s Gone Girl

David Fincher directing a movie about a man who is accused of causing the disappearance of his wife on their fifth wedding anniversary? If you didn’t already know this was going to be an awesomely dark film then this first image from it and the upcoming EW cover for the film (shot by Fincher himself) should do it.

That first image pretty much defines a David Fincher film in tone and color, and as you can see Ben Affleck stars in the film as the husband accused of killing his wife (Rosamund Pike). You may, in fact, already know how the story ends since the film is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn, but the great part about Fincher directing is that you’ll know it will be worth watching anyway.
