By Now that the amazingly talented (and packed!) cast for Disney’s adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods musical has been announced, production has begun toward its 2014 release date. And with that production, Entertainment Weekly has provided the first look at Meryl Streep as the Witch.
I’ve never seen the musical, so I have no idea who this Witch is, but I love me some musicals. I’ll be keeping an eye on this since Into the Woods‘ premise involves taking Grimm’s Fairy Tales and mishmashing them together. Also Rob Marshall is directing and he directed one of my favorite musical adaptations of all time with Chicago.
Into the Woods isn’t releasing soon enough with its Christmas 2014 release date.
