First look at Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and new plot details

0

First, here’s a video of the first look at Paul Rudd and Micahel Douglas in Ant-Man. Sure looks like two guys acting on a movie set. So that’s nice. Looks like they’re shooting it with cameras and… things. All well and good.

More important is a new plot description that has come out. This is the first hint at what may have changed since Edgar Wright left the project and Peyton Reed took over. As you probably haven’t memorized the original plot description I’ll let you know what the two big changes are. The first is that Rudd’s Scott Lang is no longer a con-man and is instead a “master thief.” Not a huge deal really, but might represent a tonal shift.

The second is a bit bigger and involves Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym. The new plot description says that he’s a founding member of the Avengers. That seems kind of tough to work into things as he definitely wasn’t involved in The Avengers. Most likely they’ll tie him in with Agent Carter and Tony Stark. Definitely hints at this film being far more of a big deal within the Marvel cinematic universe than had initially thought. Maybe this is what Wright was fighting against.

You can check out the orignal plot description below and the new in the attached image.
