By Holy concept art, Batman! Cinematical has a first look at Pixar’s next movie, Brave. And boy does it look… like concept art. While the flick has has a bunch of shake-ups in the past, with the original director being replaced, and more recently, Kelly Macdonald (Gosford Park, Boardwalk Empire) replacing Reese Witherspoon, I’m really liking the direction the art is going in. Brave is an original fairy tale set in the Scotish Highlands. Merida, princess of the land (and accomplished archer), and daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor, defies a sacred custom, and brings turmoil to her folks’ kingdom. To set things straight, Merida has to seek out a Wise Woman, to bring peace back to her kingdom. Sounds pretty sweet right? Brave opens on June 22, 2012.
