First Look: Tintin and the Secret of the Unicorn

UPDATE! New images in from Slashfilm in the gallery. The one of Barnaby and Tintin is exceedingly film noir and fantastic.

Empire Magazine is publishing a first look article on Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson’s Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, and Popwatch has the first couple of pictures before the issue hits newsstands on Thursday. The film is being done using motion capture technology, a lot like the past few Robert Zemeckis movies, but I gotta say, these actually look interesting. On top of that, Spielberg says that he’s using the mocap to stay very true to the original drawings and also taking inspiration from film noir and German Brechtian theatre.

Did you hear that? My awesometer just exploded with joy. Check out the images in the gallery while I mop up.
