I once wrote an article on why making a sequel to Pitch Perfect, one of the most charming films of 2012, was a bad idea. The first is kind of dumb, Glee isn’t the juggernaut it was a few years ago, but through all of that, I still enjoyed it. And it looks like we’ll enjoy the sequel as well.
Already fixing one of the main problems I had with the original (not enough A Capella), Pitch Perfect 2 looks like a fine directorial debut from Elizabeth Banks. All of the Barden Bellas return (with a few new additions) as the girls enter their final year of school and compete in a worldwide A Capella competition (featuring a cameo from Pentatonix somewhere in there). It’s going to be aca-awesome. Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters May 15 next year.[via The Ellen Show]
