Every time Kermit the frog dances with a gold hat and cane, my heart grows three sizes. After watching the music video for the first song from Muppets Most Wanted entitled “Sequel Song,” my heart nearly burst out of my chest alien-style. No, I’m serious. My body physically can’t handle the cuteness of it all.
Like 2011’s The Muppets, the song’s humor is self-aware and a bit self-deprecating, while its melody is catchy and charming. Basically, if “Sequel Song” doesn’t put a smile on your face then you have a withered husk for a heart. So, dust off your gold hat and cane and sing along! Also, maybe call an ambulance because I don’t know if my heart can take much more of these adorable Muppets.
Muppets Most Wanted hits theaters March 21st.
