First trailer for Black Mass starring Johnny Depp

While Johnny Depp hasn’t lost his taste for dressing up in weird outfits, it looks like he’s finally using his powers for good again. Black Mass, based on the exploits of Whitey Bulger, a gangster who became an FBI informant in order to take down the mafia. Lacking Depp’s usual accent, this first trailer is an intense breakdown of a Goodfellas like scene. 

I’m digging the “What do you mean I’m funny?” vibe and I can’t wait to see what comes of this. It’s directed by the same guy who did Out of the Furnace, so I don’t know but let’s hope for the best. Black Mass opens September.
