First trailer for Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise

In this first trailer for Edge of Tomorrow (stupidly changed from its original title, All You Need Is Kill) starring Tom Cruise as he runs toward and/or away from things, the human race is constantly put down by a superior alien army. As Lt. Col. Bill Cage (That’s his name? Really? Amazing.) dies, he’s quickly thrown into a time loop that makes him relive the battle over and over. 

Cage (Cruise) and Rita (Emily Blunt) then constantly fight the aliens as they’re forced to relive the same battle over and over again. So it’s basically Groundhog Day if Bill Murray decided to wear a super heavy buffed up version of the suit from Starship Troopers. Since the film is an adaptation of a manga/novel by Kiroshi Sakurazaka, I’m sure there’s more to this than what we’re given here. If not, at least this looks like a neat entry of the Tom Cruise Runs From Things series. Edge of Tomorrow runs away from explosions June 6th next year.
