First trailer for Intramural, a sports parody featuring SNL cast members

I’m not the biggest fan of sports movies as they all tend to look the same. But every once in a while, something new comes along and manages to rock the sports genre with its uniqueness. Intramural might make it close to that if it goes in the right direction. As a slight parody of the genre, Intramural stars a bunch of current SNL cast members as a group of guys who once played intramural football in college who now regroup to play much later. 

While the trailer plays out a lot like the hilarious sports parody Dodgeball (and doesn’t quite reach the same height), I’m hoping the SNL pedigree shines through. Intramural hits this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, with wide release most likely to follow soon after.
