First trailer for Labor Day lacks romance and comedy

0

Was anyone else disappointed when they found out that Labor Day was not yet another holiday-based, ensemble cast romantic comedy, but instead a tense thriller that takes place over Labor Day weekend? No? The great cast and fact that it’s based on a great book sold you on this version? OK, I’ll let it slide.

This is the first trailer we’ve got for the film although it screened back at TIFF. It actually seems really good, and buzz on the movie was that it was. Since it’s getting a limited release on Dec. 25 before it’s wide release on January 31 we’re guessing they think it could net some awards. I’m not sure it looks that good, but we’ll see.
