I’ve never heard of Lazer Team, but the film has quite a huge following. Rooster Teeth (most know for sets of webseries like RWBY and Red vs. Blue) has released the trailer for their first film, and it looks pretty good. Crowdfunded through Indiegogo with a final, record breaking total of $2.4 million (from an initial goal $650,000), the film is visually striking.
Lazer Team is about four friends who stumble on a super suit meant for a trained government agent, and now they must work together to save the world from an alien invasion. The trailer is full of jokes, and the cast already has a good chemistry. But I hope this isn’t one of those films where all the good bits are in the trailer. Lazer Team has no release date as of yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
