By A few years ago, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence shot three films together: Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, and Susanne Bier’s Serena. Although Serena was filmed at the same time as the other two, it’s been stuck in production for nearly two years for unknown reasons. The film itself has been in the works since 2010 and has gone through a few changes.
Based on Ron Rash’s novel of the same name, Serena stars Cooper and Lawrence as a married couple overseeing a timber company in the 1920s. As the two grow stronger in their respective fields, their marriage begins to fall apart. Here’s hoping this film also opens to critical acclaim. Serena opens in UK theaters October 24th with no domestic release in site yet.
