First trailer for The Sisters Brothers brings stellar cast to dark comedy western

I am always up for a new take on the westerns, and having Jacques Audiard direct The Sisters Brothers is a good way to get a new take. The director is bringing together a stellar cast to adapt the novel of the same name, which I need to get reading evidently. I mean, with a cast this good I don’t really need to anyway since I’m pretty sure it will stand on its own feet.

The trailer is above and is pretty well cut as it doesn’t seem to be revealing the entire film. Always a good thing. I can’t tell how much comedy will play in this, though. It definitely has those aspects and casting John C. Reilly always makes things lean that way, but the actor can do dramatic far better than people give him credit for.

The Sisters Brothers opens this Fall.
