The X-Men films are in a bit of a pickle. After three films, two Wolverine standalones, and one reboot, it leaves X-Men‘s story an overall mess. X-Men: Days of Future Past is attempting to do something that’s only been previously done in comics: bring its universes together with one big story.
Uniting the giant cast of four different X-Men films (and reuniting the franchise with director Bryan Singer), the first trailer for the first class sequel, Days of Future Past looks gorgeous. Wolverine has to hop dimensions and the whatnot (as his consciousness is sent back in time to help stop the Sentinels), two Magnetos, two Xaviers, Storm’s cool hair, and it’s all wrapped up in one neat package.
