“Is it possible that it happened yesterday? He disappeared right before my eyes and everything remains just as different? Why do they multiply and divide? Only the dogs take this as a natural fact. Please don’t go into the wrong door. They are the only suspects.” – Parquerama Studios

Big Bang Dog is a psychedelic animated film by Parquerama Studios, an animation collaboration between artists Matias Vigliano and Dante Zaballa. Basically Big Bang Dog is an awesome thing to look at, the animation style is extremely fluid – with one shape and character and space blending seamlessly into the next. Parquerama Studios also makes excellent use of color throughout the short.

The short’s use of non-linear space and time is also brilliant, wonderfully encapsulating ideas of existence and time occurring at once and time being a permeable substance. I mean, if you’re going to talk about the Big Bang, this event where nothingness changed inexplicably to our temporal universe, who says you can’t bend the rules a bit?
