Flix for Short: Dead Space: Chase to Death

Last month, my cousin and I played through Dead Space expecting a cerebral, ridiculously scary game. Instead, we just shot through hundreds of Necromorphs and combat rolled everywhere. What a shame, too, since we both heard that the first two games in the franchise were noted for their focus on survival horror.

However, this short fan film, Dead Space: Chase to Death captures the ambience of a deserted spaceship filled with alien zombies. Fans of the series will notice some of the franchise staples, including the lighted path indicators and series’ protagonist Isaac’s plasma cutter.

If only more video game fan films were of this level of quality…
