Flix for Short: Lost & Found

0

This short documentary by Joey Bania profiles an eccentric New Zealand tinkerer and inventor named Blair Somerville. Somerville makes all kinds of things, most of which are made from found or recycled materials, and all of his inventions are delightfully whimsical.

Describing his creations as “rustic automata” Somerville founded a small, dense gallery full of interactive pieces, useless tools and impractical designs. The short video itself is pretty wonderfully shot, and Bania’s playful shooting style echos Somerville’s happy-go-lucky lifestyle and works. Lost & Found is a must watch if you like odd inventions!
