Flix for Short: Parephernalia

0

Paraphernalia is a short about a boy and his robot (who “doesn’t have any guns”), written and directed by John Williams (who has an unfortunately famous name), and it is one of the best short films I’ve seen this year. Maybe my favorite. It was released over a year ago, but is still powerful enough of a story to get me all flustered.

The kid Atari himself is a very compelling anchor to the story, with various layers of emotion and potential trauma. And that ending. It is a doozy. When you get to the ending, and all of the film’s decisions suddenly click in a different way, I…yeah.

Man…is it dusty in here or is it just me? Yeah, it must be my allergies.
