Tank is a short film by artist and animator Nate Milton. It tells the story of a young boy who is an amateur naturalist. The boy captures all kinds of little woodland river and pond creatures like frogs, bugs and fish, and keeps them in little tanks, all separated and categorized. One rainy day while in the woods, he stumbles onto a creature that’s a little different from what he’s used to.
Tank is a charming story and the animation is at once realistically imperfect and endearing. I also love the hints of absurdity in Tank. It’s movies like this that make me want to move out of the city! For more of Milton’s animations, check out his website.[via Vimeo]
