Flix for Short: The Colors of Evil

0

The Colors of Evil is a student thesis film by Alyse Miller and Phillip Simon. Both Miller and Simon attended Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. It’s an accomplished animated short that centers on a dour little girl (who wouldn’t be out of place in something by Jhonen Vasquez) who seeks revenge against a chatty little twerp. The answer: summoning a demon from Hell.

After giving the short a watch, you can browse through Alyse Miller’s portfolio and Philip Simon’s portfolio, both of which are on Tumblr. Definitely do it after watching the short since the respective portfolios spoil the surprises in The Colors of Evil.
