By The Deep End is one hell of an eerie trip by Boston-based experimental animator Jake Fried. Fried build layers of imagery on top of other layers of imagery, creating a brief but enticing bit of meticulous psychedelia.
io9 notes that Fried created the short using white out, coffee, and ink. I’m wondering if any of the layers survive as individual pieces, or if Fried just kept drawing over the previous work to create the short.
