Flix for Short: Waste

Waste, directed by Anton Groves, has to be one of the best short films I have seen in awhile. At first I had no idea where the story was going (a man lives obliviously with loads of papercraft monsters ad he goes through life wasting things and being a general jerk), but that only lasted until I met the narrator. And when the narrator comes in (and finally reveals her metaphorical “beast” at the end of the film) it all comes together perfectly.

Seriously, watch it for the last visual alone. I want to spoil what that is, but that’s like saying “Rosebud.” Also, if you want to make papercraft monster for yourself, there’s a few tutorials.
