Flixclusive Interview: The Last Lions

0

The Last Lions hit theaters not too long ago, and there has already been quite a lot of buzz around this film. Our own Tom Fronczak has his review here, as well as my two cents on the movie. The film’s directors, Dereck and Beverly Joubert, graciously found time in their busy schedule to sit down and talk to me about their latest work. We discussed everything from Disney and Jeremy Irons (“He really has become our voice on film”) to their future projects (an ambitious big cats tracking endeavor spanning most of Africa).

Beverly and Dereck Joubert are National Geographic Explorers-In-Residence, which is basically the best job in the world. The two have more than 25 years of filming experience, and have quite a catalog of wildlife films between them. If you ever wanted to know more about how much work it takes to make a film like this, here’s your chance. Flixist recommends watching the film before listening to the interviews.
