Flixclusive new still from Noboru Iguchi’s Dead Sushi

When you think of the craziest of Japanese cinema, you will inevitably end up on the films of Noboru Iguchi. Even if you don’t know his name, there’s a good chance you have heard of films like Machine Girl, RoboGeisha, Karate-Robo Zaborgar, and Zombie Ass. If you haven’t, RoboGeisha is available on Netflix, and it’s crazy.

But with Zombie Ass barely out the door (look for a review in the coming weeks as part of our ongoing NYAFF/Japan Cuts coverage), Iguchi has already wrapped on his next project, Dead Sushi, which will be premiering on July 22nd at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival. (You see that? Canada gets things too sometimes!) And, because we love you so much, we’ve got a badass new image from it to share with all of y’all. I mean, look at that. See that flamethrowing thing in the background? She’s decided to use her fists instead. How cool is that? Really cool.
