Back when Matt and I first started mapping out Flixist in early 2010 we both thought Shutter Island was the best movie of the year at that point. Since then it has been overcome for both of us by a few others, but our love for it still remains high. It's sad that it's pretty much nonexistent in most awards online and on television just because it came out so early in the year, but Flixist hasn't forgotten it.
