Fox has chosen their Fantastic Four reboot stars

Update: All the actors have confirmed their casting via Twitter.

Fox seems to have finally, finally nailed down actors for their upcoming reboot of Fantastic Four. We’ve heard rumors and speculation for forever now, but rewrites and problems casting have delayed the film. Now we finally have our four stars: Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch; Kate Mara as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing; Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic.

We all knew Jordan was attached for a long while now, as he’s teaming up again with director Josh Trank (Chronicle). The rest of the casting is more of a surprise. While Mara and Teller had had their names pop up Jamie Bell is very out of left field as he was only chosen after a plethora of other actors failed to connect with the part. He’s also not very large or craggly, though I suppose with CGI that doesn’t matter.

It’s definitely a young cast, and there are no big names, but a lot of up and comers. It will be very, very interesting to see where Fox takes this as the casting choices are nothing like the comic book characters. Also, to be clear, THR is reporting this like its a done deal, but Miles and Teller haven’t signed on yet.
