Angel Has Fallen (2019 Movie) Official Trailer - Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman

Most Presidents go through their terms with nary a scratch. No assassination attempts. No buildings exploding. No covert operations to take them out. Not so for Morgan Freeman’s President Trumball in the Has Fallen (that’s what we’re calling it) series, who seems to be at risk of getting murdered every other year. Thankfully, I guess, he’s got Gerard Butler there to save is life over and over.

Honestly, I can’t even believe there is a third movie in this franchise. I can’t even believe this is franchise. Did we all see the same first movie or not? I know we all saw the same second movie because everyone I talked to say it was idiotic. This one? Doesn’t look much better. I’m all for blind, dumb action, but these films haven’t even delivered that all that well. There must be some sort of tax haven involved here in order for it to be worth it to pump more out. Or maybe I’m just missing the bigger picture of how good the Has Fallen films actually are.

No. Definitely a tax haven.

Angel Has Fallen hits theaters on August 23, 2019.
