It looks like Ghostbusters 2020 has finally settled on a cast. After various reports were claiming which actors would be portraying characters in the film, director Jason Reitman took to Twitter to share a photo of him and the cast on the set. While not all of the rumored members are there, that certainly is McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Carrie Coon. Even without seeing the likes of Paul Rudd, Sigourney Weaver, or Bill Murray, they’ve been confirmed to have roles in this long-awaited sequel.
I’m mostly happy that the speculation is done with. It can get tiresome to hear about “supposed” actors signing-on for films. I’d rather people let studios decide on who best fits the role instead of petitioning for actors they have a crush on. Let the filmmakers organically come to a conclusion of who best fits the role instead of grabbing the latest “It Girl” and sinking what could have been a decent film.
