Green Lantern will fight this crazy space bug

Hal Jordan is riding pretty high after a surprisingly-awesome trailer that made me eat some crow. Now, The Daily Blam has a picture of one of Green Lantern’s villains, the crazy space bug known as Parallax. Parallax is the living embodiment of fear, and it briefly took control of Hal Jordan back in the 90s, causing him to wipe out the Green Lantern Corps and be the villain in a crossover or two. You can check it out in the gallery below.

Checked it out? Not too shabby, eh? This looks surprisingly cool, and it also looks very much like Parallax’s representation in the comics. A big, yellow space bug may not seem like the most threatening villain, but for God’s sake, it’s a big yellow space bug. The man in the green pajamas is going to hit it with a big, green boxing glove that his ring makes for him. This is the reason why people make comic book movies in the first place. So a dude in tights can quip while he punches out a big yellow bug with a boxing glove made of green light.
